What DVD247 Supplies
DVD247 supplies disks that are Region Free and will play anywhere in the world (see region map below) on the correct equipment (TV & DVD Player, PC, Laptop etc.). Because Duel-DVD Players are found all over the world in the 21st century disks are supplied by default in PAL format (my native format). However if your player is old and can only play NSTC format you must tell me when ordering. All PCs can play PAL and NSTC so that may be an option for you also.

Playing Region Free disk in PAL on your PC
If the disk you receive is in PAL format and won't play on your DVD player (the one connected to your TV), then you will definately be able to play it on your PC using free software called VLC.exe - available for download from www.videolan.org

DVD Specification
The commercial DVD player specification requires that a player to be sold in a given place not play discs encoded for a different region, however region-free DVD players are also commercially available.

There are six different official regions and two informal variations. DVD discs may use one code, a combination of codes (Multi-Region), most codes (Region 0) or every code/no codes (Region All). In addition, many DVD players can be modified to be region-free, allowing playback of all discs. Wikipedia definition [new window].
