The Mark Thomas Comedy Product : Series 1
Mark Thomas has made a huge success from his unusual comedy talent. Mark is similar to Mark Steel - both excellent. To understand his programme, you really need an understanding of how the UK Government, big corporation and international leave the UK citizen completely in the dark. He and his team will hear of an injustice or something that should be brought to public attention. Through his standup/live recordings/interviews he, well, puts across a very good point to these people that dont care. Dressing up as Hitler and following around powerful UK minister telling them how much he likes their politics really leaves you in tears of laughter. Having a friend who works for a large government organisation that is frequently a target for Mark Thomas 1 - Antics 2 - ECGD & mcDonalds 3 - Mark Stands As An MP 4 - CEWA 5 - MI5 & Crucifixion 6 - Show Budget Bet

Mark Thomas: Sex, Filth & Religion
I watch it at least once every few months. I have lost count of the number of friends who have borrowed it over the years. its just one of the funniest stand up video's I have ever seen, from how his parents swore more than anyone else on the planet, to the Pope coming out and beyond. This is just funny. Don't watch if your easily offended. Not one to pop on when your maiden aunt comes around for afternoon tea. Sit back, let the rude bits wash over you, and listen to the messages behind the gags. One of the most intelligent comics to come from the UK in modern times. His political side is just as funny as the comedy. Review by andie99-2 (www.imdb.com) |

Secret Map of Britain

Secret Map of Britain
Mark Thomas investigates why parts of the UK are fenced off, and in some cases not even shown on any maps. The film also has lots of little snippets of info scattered through it – like the Government's telephone preference system – where in an emergency the government has the ability to shut off all UK phone lines (this has happened several times in the past decade or so) thus removing emails and calls from the populace in an emergency. Or he stands outside the Whitehall tunnel system designed to hold all civil servants during a nuclear attack. |

After School Arms Club
Mark Thomas puts the arms trade under the spotlight in this special edition of Dispatches, asking how easy it is to broker arms. Working his way through a spider's web of vast and, in some cases, archaic legislation, Thomas unearths a series of dangerous loopholes, inconsistencies and, even more shocking, simple omissions that would have the most avaricious arms broker salivating with glee. |
