Series 2 & 3 are not available on DVD and according to the BBC may never be. What's even less likely is that theyll ever to be repeated because of their controversial topical content. It's unlikely more series will be made as the creator and main writer, Harry Thompson died of cancer in 2005. Monkey Dust is notorious for it's excessively dark humour and handling of taboo topics such as rape, murder, suicide and paedophilia. There were only three series made, all of which were been broadcast on BBC 3 noted for its experimental comedy. The animation uses contemporary music which helps the scenes to flow; with numerous songs by Goldfrapp, Boards of Canada, Black Box Recorder, and introduction music by Eels ("That's Not Really Funny" from Souljacker). | ||||
